Farm Fun

babygoats21.jpgWhen we say bring the whole family down to Fir Point Farms, we mean the WHOLE family. There is something to delight everyone. The kids can visit the resident tree-climbing pygmy goats, bunnies and chickens, as well as an assortment of visiting farm animals. These visitors, at times, include pigs, miniature horses and fuzzy sheep.

Mom and Grandma can stroll through the herb garden and greenhouses before treading out to the U-Cut Flower Field for a fresh bouquet of peonies, dahlias, delphiniums, rudbeckias and sunflowers. The blooms change throughout the season, so check back often.

Dad and Grandpa can hike down the Nature Trail and check out the Trout Pond. And this year don’t miss, what we like to call, the Slide of 2008. (What you might call a washout of our hill by the pond).

Then everyone meet back at the Country Market for an ice cream cone and a look at the Gift Shop.

noahslide1.jpgThe grounds of Fir Point Farms are open throughout the season, free of charge. Plenty of parking and picnic space is available for your enjoyment. Buy a deli sandwich from the friendly staff in the kitchen, sit down and enjoy your country escape.
