Every weekend in October is Harvest-time. Fall is all about the pumpkin here at Fir Point Farms. And we mean really big pumpkins too. The first Saturday of each October is dedicated to the gigantic squash at the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off. Growers from all over the Pacific Northwest come to compete for thousands of dollars and the bragging rights for growing the biggest and the best. Pumpkins as heavy as 1,400 lbs. can be seen filling the parking lot in front of the Country Market and greenhouses.
